October 13, 2010 Only one more to go…Filed under: ASI Canada Last week I was on the road with the Advantages Road Show visiting Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Burlington and I can now say for me the trade show season is complete. But, Jay will be attending the Imprint Canada Show in Calgary this Friday and Saturday so if you’re attending the show please stop by booth # 723 and say Hi to Jay. Also if you’re at the show and see Mark Bond from Sportscan Summit don’t forget to congratulate him – his son Jack won a Silver Medal at the Commonwealth Games in India in the 66KG Greco-Roman Wrestling event. Last week I did something I haven’t done in years, I decided rather than flying from Montreal to Ottawa I would take the train. And I’ve got to tell you this is definitely the way to travel, reminded me of the good old days of flying! Didn’t have to arrive an hour early, no long security line-ups, walked out to the platform, the train pulls up and on you get, in fact the guy even loaded my bags on the train for me. Within minutes of leaving the station I’m asked if I would like a drink and surprise, surprise the coffee was drinkable. A short time later I am asked what selection I would like for lunch and given a complimentary glass of red wine, now this is the way to travel. I sat back looking out the window and was able to see the trees in all their beautiful fall colours, totally relaxed. When we arrived in Ottawa the same guy took my bags and put them on the platform for me, no waiting 30 minutes for my bags to appear on the carousel. I really enjoyed taking the train for a change and it was one third of the cost of flying – can’t beat that! 2 CommentsLeave a Comment |
