May 13, 2008 I Love New York!Filed under: ASI New York Hello Everyone! We have just returned from the first ever ASI Show in New York City and what a great time we had. On Tuesday I attended the ASI Education Day and sat in on a new session by Lisa Leitch “Accelerate your sales with Innovative New Products”. This was a great session which involved everyone who attended working together in groups to create a promotion around products given to us. If you’re attending the ASI Show in Chicago I highly recommend this session. On Tuesday night we attended the Counselor Awards Dinner at Cipriani’s on Wall Street, joining Fred and I were Steve Levschuk (Talbot Marketing) and Marc Roy (Accolade Reaction Group). It was a perfect evening good friends, a fabulous dinner and we were thrilled to have Marc there to accept the award on behalf of the Accolade Reaction Group, who are the first Canadian company to be on the Counselor TOP 40 list! Congratulations to everyone at Accolade Reaction Group on your outstanding achievement! Wednesday was the first day of the show and the floor was extremely busy all day and we had the opportunity to chat with a number of our fellow Canadians throughout the day. At the end of the day we hosted the special ASI Canada Reception for all Canadians attending the ASI Show. We also gave everyone a sneak peak of the newest version of ESPonline that will be launched in July. The new version will show Canadian pricing and catalogues from all the ASI Canada Suppliers, more news on this new version will be coming out shortly. While at the trade show I picked up information on what I think is one of the most exciting new products this year – the “ecobutton” from Buzline. The USB “ecobutton” is a PC energy saving device that plugs into any USB port, at the push of the button it automatically puts the computer into a special “ecomode” that saves more energy than the normal sleep mode. All you need to do is push the button again to bring you back to exactly where you were and it displays the carbon (CO2) and money saved. I love this product! That is a f-ing outrage and an afrnoft to anybody who believes in democracy.If the EU want to withdraw ALL funding, then excellent, but the BNP are a perfectly legally party who have been perfectly legally elected and the fact that what they say is repellent to the verge of being insane is not really an objective criteria, is it?It’s like the EU kept changing the rules so that UKIP wouldn’t get any of the extra money for slightly larger parties. UKIP too are a perfectly legal party etc.
