This week the PPPC Ontario Chapter hosted a bowing night and of course I signed up, had my team in place and was ready to go!<\/p>\n
Well, first my daughter Amanda couldn\u2019t play due to a fracture so ok she had a good reason and of course her sister Amber backed out because if Amanda wasn\u2019t going she wouldn\u2019t. Then Susie the oh yeah I\u2019ll play never showed up, so my team was down to the senior tour of Bruce Graham, Pat Morris and myself.<\/p>\n
Anyone that knows me knows that athletic I\u2019m not but hey its bowling even I can handle that.\u00a0 Before I leave the house Amanda says have fun and don\u2019t hurt yourself, then on my way there I get an email on my blackberry and it\u2019s from Jay \u201cDon\u2019t hurt yourself\u201d. I did call Jay back with some choice words I can\u2019t write here \u2013 nobody has any faith in me.<\/p>\n
So, we get to the alley and because there are only 3 of us we all have to bowl twice but Bruce kept us going, thankfully he is a bowler. And who do we have to bowl beside \u2013 last year\u2019s winners \u2013 Charlie\u2019s Angels! Although I am still wondering about the name as Charles Dawkins had 3 men on his team.<\/p>\n
Midway thru the evening guess what Clint Bowman got his thumb stuck in the ball, which was my greatest fear, that and falling down. I hope Clint is ok today his hand looked really sore!<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been years since I\u2019ve played and it used to be 5 pin then with a nice light little ball, this ten pin stuff with that great big heavy ball is hard work!<\/p>\n
But, I\u2019m pleased to report to those who had so little faith in my athletic ability that I came away without injury, I did break a nail and my back is a little sore but I made it thru without hurting myself!<\/p>\n
