July 5, 2008 Finally, an end to the infamous industry name Neil “Spiitz”Filed under: News from Canada This past Thursday I had the pleasure of attending a Retirement party for Neil Piitz - the reference to Spiitz above is really an inside joke, sorry but I just had to do it! Like many people that attended I’ve known Neil back to the days when he started in the industry with Ken Cattermole and have had the joy of watching as he grew into one of this industry’s greatest success stories.

April 14, 2008 ESP Online Tricks & TipsFiled under: ESP Online Tricks & Tips Good day to all! For all that are using our ESP Online program I felt this would be a great place for each one of you to explore and find simple tricks and tips on how to use our ESP Online program to its fullest. A simple tip that not many people know about is the favorites tab. You can view the “Top Word Searches Last Week” from over 33 thousand users. This is a great way to see what the rest of the industry is looking at. Another simple tip about ESP Online is the advanced search screen, from this page you can search for creative ideas. This function can be found in the bottom left corner under “ideas”. This can and will help you find new and creative ideas for your customers up and coming events or task today. The last tip is for when that customer calls in saying “I need something between a set price range”. Here is the easy way to solve that problem. Use the idea field or just type into the “price range” field the scope and quantity and hit search. Thousands of ideas will come up and you just need to find that perfect item(s) that is best for your customer. If you enjoyed these simple tips for ESP Online keep checking back each month for new tips. Cheers! Jay

April 13, 2008 ASI Vegas Show - it’s always a great time in Las Vegas!Filed under: ASI Las Vegas Show For me one of the hi-lites of the ASI Show has been the education day. For years I have gone a day early so that I can attend the sessions and I always learn something new. Personally I believe it’s a great way to rejuvenate sales efforts – no matter how many sessions I’ve been to I always get new ideas and tips that help me in my day to day business life. On Wednesday I attended the morning session from Canada’s own Lisa Leitch; the session was “Accelerate your sales with Innovative Advertising Specialty Campaigns”. Lisa is a great speaker and one of the things in her presentation that I was glad to hear was her encouraging attendees to use advertising specialties to promote their own companies. I’ve often questioned why many distributors don’t use the products they’re selling more effectively to demonstrate to clients the value of this medium. |
